Amazing And Weird Slindon Pumpkin Festival

Every year in the month of October, the village of Slindon, England, stirs up to the Pumpkin Festival  a cyclic exhibit of hundreds of pumpkins, squashes and gourds arrangement of different size pumpkins make a pretty picture like you can see below.  Now in its 44th year, the exhibit be a focus for visitors from in so far as Germany, Japan and Australia. when Ralph Upton put his annual crop of pumpkins on his lost to ripen then The tradition began in 1968. The show attract the eyeballs of the town folk. The next year he endeavored a fresh, utilizing the top covering of his wood shed as a canvas on which he conceived a mural with his harvest. Since then the brandish has been growing larger and more perplexing. Each year there is new topic – the Universe, the Pyramids and the Rialto Bridge in Venice. Using helpers Ralph Upton used pumpkins to create vessels, butterflies, witches, Noah’s Ark and even dinosaurs.

Weird Ostrich Festival

The Ostrich Festival was created in Arizona in 1989. It has been recognized as one of the “Top 10 Unique Festivals in the United States” with its lanky ostriches, multiple entertainment bands and many special gift and food vendors. Ostrich Races may be the main attraction of the Ostrich Festival. Races are run several times throughout the three day festival. Each ostrich race lasts about 50 minutes. The ostrich races are included in the price of admission. There is something for everyone at the Ostrich Festival. The Ostrich Festival will feature Ostrich Races, an Exotic Petting Zoo, Pig Races, a Sea Lion Show, a Hot Rod Show, Amateur Boxing, a Thrill Circus (including the Globe of Death), Jest in Time Family Circus, Medieval Jousting, an additional live ostrich display and three stages of live entertainment, all included in admission price. The music schedule and attractions schedule should help you plan your days at the Ostrich Festival. All concerts and performances are included in the admission charge. Concerts are lawn seating. Chairs and blankets encouraged. The Chandler Ranch Stage is new to the festival this year and will turn into a dance party after dark.
